Elder Care Expo May 9-10, 2008

Come visit Heart to Home at the 2008 Elder Care Expo at the Saint Paul State Fair Grounds May 9-10th 9am-7pm. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $8 or online .

We will be sharing a booth with our good friend Nancy Frank from Companion PAWS.

Nancy will be bringing along one of her pet Llamas to the show!

This should be a great event chalked full of useful information! We hope to see you there...

An excerpt from the Elder Care Expo Website:

What is Elder Care Expo?

"For Boomers and Their Parents ...
Minnesota's first-ever Elder Care Expo is an educational event designed for you. The event brings together government agencies, nonprofits, private organizations and people just like you under one roof with one simple goal: to help you find solutions for your elder care challenges.

Today, one in five adults is responsible for managing some aspect of the finances and/or healthcare of a family member who is 65 or older, and approximately 80 percent of home-care services are provided by family caregivers. Do you count yourself among them? If so, then you know all the frustrations, stress, and complexity associated with navigating one's way through today's elder care system, and you know that help is hard to find.

Whether you are struggling to find ways to care for a loved one's needs today, or for your own needs in the future, Elder Care Expo provides the answers and support that you so desperately need."
